BIO
Vita Ivaskevica.
Latvian by nationality, Russian by soul, English by love of the language, Spanish by meeting the homme fatale. But everything started when she was * years old. The first of memories contains the image of her singing and dancing to the old Russian song in a room with the imaginary mic in her hands. Probably that was the beginning of her love for the music.
Then in the age of 18 she wrote her very first song. And then the music never stopped to be a meaningful part of her way. Initially the first music instrument she could officialy call hers was the old and deformed dad´s guitar. That is when she wrote one of her most intimate songs ¨Call me¨. After music studies in America, she fell in love with ¨bluegrass¨. In that meaningful time songs like ¨Traveller¨, ¨Not alone¨, ¨Confession¨ emerged.
The story continues in Latvia, when the band IVA was formed looking for a new, fresh and acoustic sound accompanied by mandoline, acoustic guitars, bass and, of course, drums. After publishing the first studio album ¨Desert gardens¨(2009) that included the hit song ¨Highway¨ and relasing 2 video versions for the songs ¨Highway¨and ¨Traveller¨, Vita hit the road and currently lives in Galicia, very North of Spain - a land of inspiration and coffee - so needed when it comes to songwriting.
